Hello All! Need Help Please - where did my data go/ Excel CSV to XLSX format

    Please come to my rescue.
I downloaded data (contact info) into a csv format in Excel 2010. I saved it as a xlsx format.
Now i open the xlsx file back up to look at data and it is not there. I see row 1 and columns,
but no data and row 1 does all the way down. I do not see row 2,3, 4 and so on.

Please tell me my data is not lost

    Thank you for helping me

The csv file and the xlsx file are two separate files. Try and open the original csv file.

It sounds to me that all the data is in one cell and that cell has a large blank area at the top and that is all that you see. Copy the file then open the copy and enter in A1 of Sheet2! =TRIM(SHEET1!A1)

Copy down the column as necessary.

If the problem was a lot of blank space at the top of the cells, that might take care of it.

Another thing that you can try is to click in A1 then expand the formula bar as far down as you can. If there is data in there you should see a slider at the right side of the formula bar. Move the slider to the bottom and any data in the cell should become visible.
