Merging two data sets with different organizational qualities

I realize this may be novice, but I am looking for a tip. I have two data sets that need to be merged, one with demographic information about a company (Data Set A) and the other as a list of Contractors and the companies they services (Data Set B). The only linking information between the two is the Company Name. Here are their qualities:

    Data Set A:

    Company A data data data
    Company B data data data
    Company C data data data

    Data Set B:

    Contractor A Company A $500
    Contractor A Company B $800
    Contractor B Company A $600
    Contractor B Company C $200
    Contractor C Company B $100
    Contractor C Company C $500

The only linking information between the two sets it the Company Name, however it is organized in a radically different manner. Is there any (quick) way to do this, or should I start mannually transfering the data? There are about 5000 rows...

    Best,

    Hi,

VLOOKUP formula would help you to resolve your query. I have attached the file with the formula and check the same.
The only concern here is in Data Set B, you have a case where Company A have different $ value (differ with Contractor A).

    nanju,

Thanks for your help. That is true that there are different values. That is becasue company A paid a different amount to each different contractor. I will se if VLOOKUP can handle this.
