How to stop a macros in mac excel 2011

Hi,

This has been driving me crazy for an hour. I want to add another command button into my spreadsheet but it won't let me select it from the toolbar. It is currently disabled.

I currently have a command button already where I can click on it and it performs a macro by inserting a new row. Now I have gone onto the editor and clicked on the stop button but I still can't select a new command button from the toolbar and if I click on the current command button, it still adds a new row.

My question is on a mac excel how can I completely stop a macros running so that I can add more command buttons?

Also when creating a macros, is it best to imply it on the worksheet or to record it. These buttons will add and delete rows.

actually I'm not talking about the toolbar buttons, I'm talking about keyboard commands, but again, I don't know MAC keyboards.....I just looked this up, this should force a quit, but I'm not sure that's what you want....CMD-OPT-ESC keystrokes.....

Hi figured it out, it was because the worksheet was locked at the bottom. It would have been nice if it told me sheet was locked but it never did.
