LEN function

    Question LEN function

    I have a Slogan column and now i need to create a Slogan cost column, how would i write this function if

    the 1st 30 characters are charged $15.00 per letter including spaces, for each letter over 30 the charge is $10.00

    using the LEN function?

    =SUM(IF(LEN(A1)>30,LEN(A1)-30)*10,LEN(A1)*15)

    Interesting, first 30 are characters and after that each letter…. What about space after 30 characters?
