Number of unique values in column A based on values in columns B and C

Hi. I have a database where column A has all shippping numbers (AWBs) created everyday, column B has the date when they were created and column C the person who created them. A second table lists horizontally the days of the month. The second table looks like this one:

Shipping 1 2 3 4 5 6
STOs Shipping AWBs

What I need, in the cell right below each date, is a formula that would return the number of unique values in column A (AWBs) based on the values in columns B and C. For example, based on the database I need to know how many AWBs John created on 11/1/2013 and so on.

Assumptions: The numbers on the table above are dates. Only shown in format d. Lets say "John" is one of the names on my database, you can use it as part of the formula to know the result is referring to that person.
