Cannot Paste Cell Value Into Save-As Prompt File Name Box

Hi everyone,

I'm having a really bizarre problem - maybe it's just an Excel quirk that I had never noticed until just now.

I have a spreadsheet with a formula that generates a file path. I want users to save clicks by pasting that file path into the Save-As name prompt and press Enter so they can automatically jump to the correct folder.

What I've found is that when I copy the value that the formula produces and click Save-As, nothing pastes. If I do the same thing in Microsoft Word I have no issues.

Notably, the same thing happens when I copy cells without formulas as well. The only way to get it to work is to double-click the cell and copy the value from the workbook header.

Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? It's causing a lot of problems for my project.
