Index Match using two sheets for Criteria to Match

I am currently working on a file and would like to use match index but the criteria's are located into separated sheets ( unfortunately these two sheets cannot be placed into one ), any help on this please?

Basically I need an index match that pulls information that are located into two separate sheets.

Is the info for the criteria always in a known location, or do you need to search for that too?

i would suggest you upload a sample work book, (all sensitive data removed), showing what data you are working with, a few examples of what your expected outcome is, and how you arrived at that

Unfortunately my office web is not allowing me to attach/download anything however if you can picture the scenario where:

I need to see the employee names on Sheet2 B3-B500 if

MATCH values from Sheet 2

A3-A500 - dates
C3-C500 - department



On Sheet 1 - names from Sheet 2 are to be displayed in Sheet 1 A3-A10

Look Up values from Sheet1 are
A1 - Date
A2 - Department
