Keep half of sheet 1 visible at all times

Is it at all possible to be able to keep sheet 1 at least partly visible (at least half the width of the sheet) and then be able to select the other sheet tabs and see the info on these sheets on the other half of the screen.

So for instance, you always retain the abillity to see columns A-G at all times, and then what would then be columns g onwards you can see the other sheets in the workbook and are able to select their tabs to see the information in each other sheet in the workbook.
