advanced filter table top cells (rows) across a range of categories

    Hi,

Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere.

I would like to only view (or otherwise mark) the highest value cells (in column g) for each category (column c),

Have come to a dead end. Appreciate any help thanks

Perhaps if we have a small sample workbook.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

    Hopefully this help.

As you can see in the after worksheet only the top mean (column G) for each category (column c) is displayed.

Ok. So here is one way.

We create a ubique list of data in column C using Advanced Filter

Then in G2 and copy down this ARRAY formula.

    -- Array(CSE) { }, formulae are confirmed with Control+Shift+Enter.
    Not just Enter.

Then this one in A2 and copy down and across.
