My F2 edit key is not working. When I turn on the F Lock F2 edit does not work, I tried F1, F7 and F9 they work. When I turn off the F Lock The F2 undo key does work. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

If this is a laptop computer, you may have computer functions assigned to the F keys by default (mine does) and to use the F keys you also have to use the Fn key unless you go into the BIOS and change the default in which case, reverses the F keys so that they operate normally like a desktop computer and to use the F key combination built into the laptop the Fn key would have to be pressed with the F key.
If you have a keyboard driver there could be settings in there concerning the assignment of the F keys.

It is a desktop, the F2 edit key was working fine a week ago.
This may sound like a stupid comment, but it has happened to me before...if the key stuck down?

No the F2 key works when the F Lock is off
Did you get an update for the keyboard driver recently? I did and I had to re-establish all my customizations.
No recent updates.
Does it work in other applications?
Is the keyboard wireless, USB connection, or PS2?

Have you tried using a different USB port?
The reason that I asked about the connection was that I have experienced some strange key behaviour with the wireless keyboard due to the wireless receiver failing....weak batteries also caused problems.
Is your keyboard one that can have customized key functions?

You're welcome. That can mean that the keyboard connector or port is worn/dirty or about to fail. Make note of the port and if something else gives trouble it could very well be the port.
