    how to copy/past data from multiple rows/columns to multiple columns one single row?

    I have this:

    date 1 amount 1 date 2 amount 2 date 3 amount 3 date 4 amount 4 date 5 amount 5
    1 1/1/13 $2.00
    1 2/1/13 $2.00
    1 3/1/13 $2.00
    1 4/1/13 $2.00
    1 5/1/13 $2.00
    2 3/1/13 $1.00
    3 2/5/13 $2.00
    3 3/9/13 $1.00

    and need this
    date 1 amount 1 date 2 amount 2 date 3 amount 3 date 4 amount 4 date 5 amount 5
    1 1/1/13 $2.00 2/1/13 $2.00 3/1/13 $2.00 4/1/13 $2.00 5/1/13 $2.00
    2 3/1/13 $2.00
    3 2/5/13 $2.00 3/9/13 $1.00
    how to transfer date and amount to go across , transpose will give two rows I want all in one, i need something simple
    I am using excel 11 would like simple procedure like copy/post?

    Hi sktneer
    first THAnk you so much for helping me , this worked perfect for the sample I made above but not in my original work
    what I did not mention and I am sorry for not is that between the column 1 and the column date1 i have 6 more columns that I do not need to copy across I only need the date and amount to go across and also some will have about 30 date/amount to go across,hope this make sense.Thanks again,

    Better you upload a sample workbook exactly similar to your original workbook with enough sample data in it.

    Try the attached.
    I am not sure if your computer is a Mac, if it is, the code will not work.

    Macs do not support an object script called Dictionary
