Work Rosta Start & Finish times to automatically fill into different cells on a separate

    Hi,
I am trying to get the "start" and "finishing" times from a rosta to automatically fill into cells on a separate sheet, which calculates the wages. Is this possible?
I have attached a small sample file with a better description of what I am trying to acheive. Any help would be much appreciated. I should add that people sometimes work different hours on different days, so I need to find away of picking up the start time and the end time from a string of 1 hour slots

    Regards,

    Rick

    Hi there,

Take a look at the attached workbook and see if it does what you need.

I've created User Defined Functions in VBA which calculate the start and end times of the various shifts.

Hope this helps - please let me know how you get on with it.

    Hi Greg M,
I am struggling to apply your solution to my workbook. I can see it works but do not have the experience or VBA knowledge to apply it. I have attached the proper work book for you to see, and hope you
could write the VBA script in the proper place for me.
Sheet 1 is the wage calculation sheet where the start and finish times need to automatically be entered. Sheet 2 is the new part of the workbook which allows me to see how many staff I have working at any one time. I would like to enter the info on sheet 2 and have the start and finish times automatically go over to sheet 1.

On sheet 1 there are 4 tables going across the page under the Daily headings. The first 2 tables under Monday are for the start and finish times of a single shift, the second 2 tables under the Monday heading are for the start and finish times of the 2nd part of a split shift for any staff that have worked a split shift
Example: Nichol start and finish time from sheet 2 (D9 through to L9) to enter in to sheet 1 B6 & C6.
Amjad 1st shift start and finish time from sheet 2 D11 through to L11 to enter into sheet 1 B8 & C8 with the 2nd part of his split shift to enter into sheet 1 L9 & M9.
I really would appreciate your help with this as I don't have to much hair left to pull out.
The shifts are days 09:00 - 17:00 and the evening shift is 18:00 - 03:00.

    Hi again Rick,

Take a look at the attached workbook and see if it does what you need.

I've tried to implement what you outlined in your last post, and have incorporated some extra hourly values and Net Sales values to illustrate how the application works. I've also referenced some values on the "Overview" worksheet from the "Data Entry" worksheet to avoid the need to manually synchronise these values.

I've also added comments to indicate two values which I could not understand.

Hope this helps - please let me know how you get on with it.

    Regards,
