Quick formatting question that I don't know how to explain

I'm still new to Excel so I apologize if this is an easy one...

I have a workbook with 4 different tabs at the bottom. Each tab has different information in rows 1-8 but they are all somehow linked together. If I delete row 1 on the first tab it delete rows 1 on all other tabs. I can't see how these rows are linked between each tab but I need to remove that link so that I can modify these rows. Does anyone have a suggestion for what I should look for to remove this link?

Do you mean that the rows on the other sheets are actually deleted, or that they now show an error for the answer?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

I did not know you could group tabs, let me give that a try. Thank you for the suggestion.

The actual rows are deleted in the other tabs, but if they can be grouped so that a layout change in one tab creates the same layout change in another tab then Martin Wilson pay have solved the issue for me. I will update the thread as soon as I get a chance.

Sorry for the delay, the tabs were not linked. Is there any other reason why deleting a row on one tab would delete the same row on all other tabs?

Just re-elaborating..
* Check if all Tabs are of Same color.. highlighted..
* Click any of the TAB.. (Sheet Name) and select UnGroup.. (if Highlighted)..

When you are in Group Mode.. you are working on all sheets at a same time...
So deletion or edit.. will effect on all the sheet's same location..
Regards!
