Copying cell named and keep the name

Hi,

I have some cells with specific names, I want to copy them and keep the names. How can I do this?

Re: Copying cell named and keep the name

You can drag a named cell to a new location and keep the name but you can't copy the cell and paste into a new location and retain the name in the copy of the cell. The name will remain with the original cell.

If you select a named cell and use Ctrl + X and then paste the cell in a new location, the original is deleted and the copy has the name.

Thanks for reply newdoverman!

This was a bad news. I will keep searching a way to copy names. I read something about VBA, maybe there is a solution!

What exactly are you trying to do?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Re: Copying cell named and keep the name

Just copy a cell named and keep the name.

For example: A1 = ValorVenda, I want to copy A1 to B1 and keep the name, resulting B1 = ValorVenda as A1 = ValorVenda

You can edit the name definition in the Name Manager to address new locations, expand ranges etc.

Knowing what exactly you are trying to do would help.

OK I *think* I understand.

1. click the cell you want
2. click-hold on the small black square on the lower-right corner of that cell, and drag sideways
