Auto populate calendar from excel data

Hellow, I have an excel spreadsheet showing the following columns of data:
Project Number, Project Name, Project Owner, Project Auditor, Trip End Date, Turnover Date, and Project Due Date

I am trying to figure out how to auto populate an excel calendar (by month) to display the Project Number, Name, Owner, and Auditor by the date fields.
For example: Project Number: 1234, Project Name: XYZ, Project Owner: Bob, Project Auditor: Tom, Trip End Date: 1/31/14, Turn Over Date: 2/26/14, Project Due Date: 4/16/14

I would like to see the Project number, name, owner and auditor listed in a January calendar on 1/31/14 showing:
Trip End Date - BOB, 1234 XYZ - TOM
I would like to see the Project number, name, owner and auditor listed in a February calendar on 2/26/14 showing:
Turn Over Date - BOB, 1234 XYZ - TOM
I would like to see the Project number, name, owner and auditor listed in a April calendar on 4/16/14 showing:
Due Date - BOB, 1234 XYZ - TOM

Can this be done?

Welcome to the forum

The answer to your question is "Yes".

How do you see the month being laid out? For example in April you might have some ending, some turnover as well as Project Due. Would you have a column headed "Action" another "Date" or will you have 3 headings "Trip End", "Turn Over" and "Project Due"? Likewise for the date - 1 or 3 colum(s).

What is the maximum number of projects that could be on the sheet?

Thank you for replying! I have never participated in a forum, so this is new for me!

I have attached an example of my "vision". Essentially, I plan to update the Data on one tab and then be able to see the data in the calendar. I deal with 50-60 trip or more a year and each trip has 3 seperate deadlines, which is what I am trying to capture visually in the calendar. One day could have multiple projects due for any of the 6 deadline.

I hope the attachement helps show what I am trying to do.

What a strange calendar you work to - 31 days in February and all months starting on a Wednesday (and I thought that I lived in a simple world!)

No matter - it shows what I need. I was thinking of a diary laid out as a list, but it will be a good excercise to do it as a weekly layout. I am assuming that for "any of the 6 deadline" I should read "any of the 3 deadlines"

There are 5 lines for each day. Could there ever be more than 2 other entries? For example if there are 3 entries and then I try to put 3 more deadlines then the system would have to add extra rows for that day; or would that mever happen?

Each line has the three deadline, which are what i need to see visually in the calendar. The Data tab showing the list would be updated as trips are added.

It would be possible for more than three deadlines on a given day...especially during our busy season. I need the calendar to fit on a standard letter size paper, so what ever the max size for days with the rows will have to work.

I have set up a system that may work - let me know if there are any problems or you want anything explaining.

At the moment it will not cater for adding an extra line in the data sheet - I can work on this if you like what I have done so far.

Thank you! This is a great start!

I tried adding additional months per the instructions...June is not coming out correctly, but all the other months look correct.
My additional concern would be that when I add more trips on the data tab and run the Macro, the calendar is updated with an the new information and the prior information is added to the calendar again as well.

I have attached the file to show where I have tried to add additional months and update the Data tab with more projects.

I had noted that adding data would not work - it is now fixed

The problem with June is that 1 June 14 is a Monday - the system was starting on the first Monday and then trying to find 1 after that cell. This is now fixed.

With Sub Diary(), the first line (Mydate = ...) is declaring a variable? Is "dim" not required?

Hello Aydeegee, I have the same need, but my table has different data. Possible to update current file? The table I have has the following columns that should populate the calendar in the same order: Assigned To, Project, Task, Due Date.
