Populating List based on a Value chosen from another List of Values

Dear all,

Please help me with Excel logic to populate a list of values based on the value chosen from another list of values.

Consider the below scenario:

A B
1 Name Grade
2 A 1
3 B 1
4 C 1
5 D 2
6 E 2
7 F 3

Let's name cell D1 as "Grade List" and D2 as "Name List"

PFA for reference with just inputs.


E1 should be listbox field which should have list of Grades. Here, it should show 1,2,3.

E2 should be a listbox field without any values

Not sure if I have to use ListBox or ComboBox

Based on the Grade that is Selected (at E1), E2 should give list of Names associated with that Grade.

Ex: If E1 is 1, list of Names in E2 should be A,B and C
If E1 is 2, list of Names in E2, should be D and E
If E1 is 3, list of Names in E3, should be just F.


Please let me know the logic for the above scenario.

Also, please let me know the logic if the listbox fields are in another sheet.
