How to edit links without opening ALL workbooks linked to a file.

Good day, I'm making a music chart database so I am planning to make hundreds(or even thousands) of workbooks , 1 for each artist . And there would be 1 main file that would contain summary of each workbooks.
In this "summary workbook" , I have the weight for each points in every position on the Hot 100. My problem is that whenever I need to update that weight , I need to open all the workbooks since all workbooks depend on that weight table. Is there a way that I won't need to open all files since it takes so much time opening hundreds of workbooks just for the updates.

There are 2 workbooks attached in this post:
1. Summary

Sheet 1 = contains all the summary
Sheet 2 = are the values that are updated time to time

2. A sample of an artist's workbook.

Hi and welcome to the forum

A workbook needs open to be updated.

However, I would question the wisdom or having "hundreds(or even thousands) of workbooks". I have no idea what your data looks like, but it is almost always better to have 1 large "database" of info - in ONE worksheet, and then have additional sheets to summarize/analize the data
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
