    "Select tool" for objects

Trying to adjust to v. 2010. On earlier versions of office, it was simple to select multiple objects on worksheet, specifically shapes and images. Now, I can only do this by clicking each object while depressing <CTRL>, which can be cumbersome. Anyone know if I'm missing something?

    Thank you in advance.

There is a 'tool' of sorts, try going to Find & Select>Selection Pane...

Thank you. It turns out I found it on my own, but, as usual, decent documentation would have made it a lot easier.

My response may have been worded badly! Your posting was spot on. My criticism was aimed only at Microsoft. Again, thank you.
