Apple/Android app based on a spreadsheet

    Hello All,
I am looking for ideas here so please feel free to pitch in. I am trying to create a tool for our sales team to qualify a quote. The tool will essentially be a spreadsheet in which they answer a series of questions. Each question has points associated with it. Once all the questions are answered they would see a final score indicating should they say yes or no to the proposed quote.
Now creating a spreadsheet is fairly easy but our sales team in many cases would not have access to a laptop/computer and hence I would like to create something that can be used easily over an Apple and Android phones. One of the first things I thought was creating a google spreadsheet and using it on the phone, would this work? If I need to create an app which has this spreadsheet as the background, what would be my starting point for the same? I have no experience in writing an app.

    Thanks!
    AG.

    Hi Trevor,

Thanks for pointing Aadesh in my direction, I have replied privately to him. (The app he describes above does sound like a good fit for the Calcapp Creator initiative we discussed in the other thread.)

    Best regards,

    Hi David

You're welcome. Just because I have no imagination doesn't mean I can't help those who do get together. Good luck with your potential joint venture.

Re: Apple/Android app based on a spreadsheet

The best option in this case is to go with the applications that is meant for the android and iOS devices. Basically being a sales personal I too have to manage my team and I was using spreadsheets earlier which preferably doesn't seems fit at times and I choose to go with the applications that works fine enough now a days. The tool that I have been using as of now is the cloud based task management tool from xxxxxxxx whose access is there with each and every team members and are well defined to work in a collaborative platform.
