    How to fetch first few values or names from excel column

    is there any way by which we can extract first few names and display the same fetched data in another column.. Let us suppose we have a Column having 10 values in its cells. I want the first 8 to be displayed in another column, First 5 to be displayed in next column.....

    We can do it in many methods but for giving exact solution we need a sample workbook with expected result

    see that was almost the same problem ...but it was raised by my friend through his ID... The problem in that thread was explained in a clumsy way, so i tried to present it in a simple way through my ID.....
