i copy a file and post it on a new blank file but it comes out different

the file I am copying has large grey page numbers on it which I do not understand and do not know how to get rid of. and the new file is garbled with changes and mistakes.

You are viewing in Page Break mode. click View/Normal and they will go away
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
    2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools

that was helpful - going to the normal view made the large grey images go away - but the garbled info on the copied file is still garbled when I copy the image even without the large grey images.
