    Drop down list based on value selected from another drop down list

    I have created a drop down list for some categories. what i would like to do is have another cell with a drop down box of sub categories based on the category selected in the first drop down box

    i have set up seperate groups for the category to choose and the subcategories.

    Look at this link for cascading combo boxes or dependent combo boxes. The terms are synonymous

    You do this using INDIRECT() and range names. See if the attached gets you headed in the right direction?
