I know this is possible, but could you please assist. See attached. I have a table and I was to do a look across and up? Maybe I am building the lookup table wrong?
I have a code and a value and I want to know based on that code and value, what category it falls in? but the categories are currently placed in the top of each column.

This worked great on my sample problem I sent - but has an issue with categorizing the MAX column. Please see attached (larger) spreadsheet with formulas. I highlighted a row that represents a wrong result. Can anyone diagnose?

If you look again at the formula I posted and the one you've attempted to adapt to your actual set-up you'll see that you haven't adapted the range references consistently.
