Pretty self explanatory.
I need to default size to be bigger. Is there a way to do this so I do not need to re-size the box every time?

You will have to use a VBA solution. Excel does not provide a means to change the default size.
Adapt this code as desired. Also include is code to align the comments. Delete these lines if you don't want this.
Open the VB Editor and copy this into a standard module, then run it when desired.

Hi I have just stumbled on this post and I would like to make this work but I know very little about VBA
I think I have got it to work now.
As a second question is it possible the use the above VBA to set the default font style and font size
