    weird copy and paste problem

I have this weird copy and paste problem in multiple columns and all involve dates.
Not sure if this is relevant, but file A was created in Mac. I copied and opened it in Windows 7, EXCEL 2010.

From file A to file B, same column,

the dates would change in this manner
    e.g.
    file A:6/17/2013
    file B:6/16/2009

    file A:4/28/2011
    file B:4/27/2007

From other postings on this forum, this might be a clip-board related issue ?? But no, I don't have skype installed.
    So,
    (a) how could I find out if/which other program may interfere with the clip board?
    (b) is there a get-around of the problem? (as I have ~ 4000 rows here)

    Great many thanks.

Look at Excel Options | Advanced tab. Looks like one or other of you is using the 1904 date system. Hence the 4 year gap in the dates.
