How to Place a Cell Boarder Over a Shape?

I have a seemingly simple problem that I cannot get to work.

I have a row of cells that contain an arrow shape to indicate the duration of each project phase.

I need to be able to have the vertical red colored cell boarder between colums C and D to be on top of the arrow shape (see link or attachment to "Example" spreadsheet).

Does anyone know how I can do this?

    If so please help!

Sorry, shapes are always on top of cells and all their formatting. You could, however, make the vertical border a shape instead of a border. Here's an example. It won't look exactly the same, because the options for borders are different than the options for shapes, but you might still get the result you need.

Just shortern the arrow and use cell fill colour to mask the arrow incut and join.

If you want the text to retain the same centered position adjust the textbox right indent.
