I would to ask your help in solving a problem.

Situation: I have a file in which contains technical documentation. Column A cells contain a section number (e.g. 1.1, 1.2, etc). Column B cells contain either text or a diagram. The diagrams are typically snapshots from PDFs which I then past as an image into Excel.

Problem: The picture is not actually attached to the specific cell in column B, so the file looks fine in its entirety, but when I filter, the picture just stays wherever I pasted it instead of staying in the cell corresponding to the section number.

Goal: What I'm really trying to do is separate technical documents section by section into Excel (I don't want merely PDFs or Word). I need to be able to filter these files by sections, subsections and other ways and I need to have those diagrams correspond to the sections in which they belong and stay in the appropriate cell when I filter. Please help!!
