Question Transpose values and retain format of recipient cells

    Hi,

I have a workbook with two sheets and in the the first I have numerical values in rows and in the second I want to transpose those values into columns. In the second sheet the fields I'll be copying too are formatted with boarders, however when I copy and transpose the rows from sheet 1 the formatted cell with boarders in sheet 2 looses the boarders.

The plan it to record this into a macro eventually but don't want to loose the formatting. Any ideas? right click to show copy options shows transpose but no actions for it.

    Thanks in advance. Neil

When you are using Paste Special in the second sheet you should click against Values as well as Transpose, and that way only the values will be copied, not the original cells' formats.

    Hope this helps.
