    Exporting to csv file

    Hello
I have an Excel 2013 sheet that contains columns of long numbers (typically 21054011000001100).
I need to export this file in csv format for another user to import into Oracle; however, whenever I export as a csv file the number changes to 2.1054E+16 and the other user can't use it.
Is there an easy way to do this as it's driving us both mad!!!!

    Thanks in anticipation.

Hi - you should format the cols as Number.

The number format does not affect the actual cell value, which is displayed in the formula bar.

You could always put a single quote before the number '

Thanks for that. The columns are already formatted as number (without decimal places)

try adding the ' single quote before the number -- anyway,, i believe that when its uploaded the value will still be correct regardless of the appearance 2.1054E+16

    Re: Exporting to csv file

It might help if I attach two files: one in Excel format and one in csv.

The Excel format is a 'number-formatted' column.

I tried putting ' in front but it made no difference.

    Re: Exporting to csv file

The value is indeed still correct; but the other user needs the full number to import. The only way I've found to achieve this is to export it as a tab delimited txt file and I'm waiting for his reply as to whether he can accept in this format.
