Graph Will Not Show Additional Months Data?

From looking at the excel attachment/link, can someone tell my why the graph in the spreadsheet stops charting out after the month of Mar-14 when the data its reading from continues on out to Jul-14?

I need the graph too and as well it should be charting out to Jul-14.

Please help if you know how I might fix this problem.

    Thank you!

From what you you wrote I think what happened is the field on the graph itself isn't up to date with the table. If you right click on the month line/slice of the graph and click select data you will see some thing like ='2014'!$E$322:$Q$322 and thats the range of data the graph registering/tracking. right?

Re: Graph Will Not Show Additional Months Data?

    Hi Dwrgt3,

Ok, I went into "Select Data" for the graph and for example for the "Legend Entries (Series)" section for the "Original Budget - Month", the "Series Name: =CAPEX!$B$43" which is correct, and "Series Values: =CAPEX!$F$43:$Y$43" which is also correct and in the "Horizontal (Category) Axis Labels" section the "Axis Label Range: =CAPEX!$F$36:$Y$36" which is also correct.

So, I checked it all and it all looks right, but the graph no matter what I seem to do will not include the months form Apr-14 thru. Jul-14 for some reason? Even if you click on one of the visible bars in the graph you can see the other bar graphs are also there for the remaining months, but are almost hidden like and I can't get the graph to show those remaining last few months.

That is unless I'm just not seeing or missing something???

There is something going on here that I have never seen before. If you click on the last bar in the graph, you will see "ghost" outlines of the missing data that extends outside of the chart area. If you click on another data bar, the "ghost" outlines of the missing data for that series is shown.

It is like the chart area is too small to house the data!

Creating a new chart, all the data was there....must be a corrupted pair of charts.

    Create new charts.

    Hi NewDoverMan,

    Yeah, I agree!

It's crazy and yes, possibly a corrupted pair of charts or something.

Well, unless someone has gotten stuck like this before and knows how to figure it out in the next few hours, I'll just have to recreate the chart.

    Thank you for your reply!

so your actual data range matches the graph data range. Did you insert the month category into the actual data after the graph was initially built? literally just re-write that one formula up there as it is. As weird as that sounds i think this is what happened.

    Hi Dwrgt3,

Well I tried your recommendation out and it worked!

Still pretty glitchy as the graph should have read the cells correctly the first time as it originally was, but either way by redrawing the graph across the cells again worked.

Dwrgt3, NewDoverMan, and Andy Pope, a big thank you to all three of you!
