    Margins change for some users

We use a spreadsheet for developing loans. I can open and print all of them just fine and so can almost all of the other employees. We have two people, though, that have the margins change when they open them. I can open it and have it be just fine, close it, they open the exact same file and see changed margins.

Any suggestions on how to change that. I don't want them to have to do it on each spreadsheet. I am looking for a complete, one-time-only fix.

    Hi,

Impossible to say unless you share the workbook with us. You'll need to explain what you mean by margins and how they change for the users in question. Does the workbook contain any macros which might run only for these two users?

What is 'it' in "I don't want them to have to do it....."

Re: Margins change for some users

I work for an agricultural lending company and the spreadsheet is our internal document of balance sheets, income projections, loans with us, etc.

    Margins better explained:
The application page (name, address, contact information, other basics) is normally 2 pages long. When "M" and "E" open it and try to print it off it is suddenly pushing it to three pages. They can make changes and if I open it everything functions normally. Based on that it seems to be a computer issue and not within the spreadsheet itself. All macros in the spreadsheet are the same for everyone (they are all locked so that only two of our officers/lenders and the developer can make changes).

    "It" - Any suggested solution.

    Hi,

We still need to see the workbook.

You say M & E get three pages. How are they printing it. i.e. do they have any manual control over printing (i.e. do they select the range to print and the various print parameters) or is the print process driven by a macro?

Sorry, can't post the workbook. Guess that ends this thread. I'll check elsewhere. Thanks for trying, though.

Do the printer settings for these computers that are "different" match what the other computers have for paper size, and other settings. Do the computers have the same font listed for the font for the workbook? Do these computers have under Excel Options, Advanced, General, have Scale Content for A4 or 8.5x11 paper sizes with the same selection as the other computers?

Settings are the same, fonts are the same.

One is an older computer running XP the other is newer and running Windows 7. Others are running those, though, and don't see an issue.
