without showing your excel file, without confidential information, it is hard to tell.
Notice my main language is not English.

As the image shows this what i want ... but i have done this in a tedious way ie: Created equation in MS word, created an image of it in paint, trimmed and modified it and then inserted it in MS Excel sheet ....so can i do it in some simple way using just excel. I tried in excel going to Insert> Object> MicrosoftEquation 3.0 but somehow i am unable to accomplish...as it sort of hangs-up during the while....????
Your calculus textbook was almost certainly written using LaTeX as the typesetting program.
Well, the Microsoft Equation Editor is for excel too, so you can at least skip the "create in word => export to image => insert into excel" steps and just create it directly in excel as a Drawing Object.
When I tried this, it worked just fine. I'm not sure why your installation of MSequation does not want to run inside of Excel, but it seems like it should be able to. Have you tried this on a different computer? Have you tried repairing your office installation?I tried in excel going to Insert> Object> MicrosoftEquation 3.0 but somehow i am unable to accomplish...as it sort of hangs-up during the while....????
