insert a blank row and calculate the auto sum with month criteria

Dear All,

I have a set where there are multiple rows on same date ( ascending order). The data set looks like following:

Date Variable 1 Variable 2 Variable 3

1/01/2014 (M-D-Y)
1/02/2014
1/03/2014

Insert a new row over here and calculate auto sum for the month of january

2/01/2014
2/02/2014
2/03/2014

Insert a new row over here and calculate auto sum for the month of february

As i have 365 days in a year and i have to insert a blank row for every month then calculate the auto sum for the data of respective month. Please suggest me how to write a macro for the problem.

This time i have to do it with month criteria.

Please help me how to do it.

Take a look at the Data | Subtotals feature - it will do what you want quite easily.
