Hi All,
I am new here and not overly familiar with macros and VBA code but have a long forgotten history in programming so I hope I will adjust quickly.
I have a small problem with managing an ongoing master program of project works and fortnightly timesheets for 10 project managers (PMs). I have searched the forums and the web and while there are undoubtedly solutions out there, I have not managed to find one that does what I need or is close enough for my limited understanding to adapt.
I would like to generate, using a macro, a separate fortnightly timesheet workbook for each of the 10 PMs, populated with data from a master program workbook. The master program has the list of projects and the name of the PM who is assigned to the project.
Ideally I would click a button, be prompted for the 'fortnight ending' date and then the macro would parse the entire program list and spit out 10 timesheet workbooks populated with only the project details for each PM.
The attached two workbooks show the key data from the master spreadsheet (there is a whole lot of additional info that I have stripped out as it is not required for this example) and a sample timesheet template.
I am after something that will effectively filter by PM in column C of the master sheet and then populate a timesheet template for each unique PM in the format provided from row 4A.
The timesheet should be saved with a unique name (Maybe <PM Name> Timesheet <Period ending date>.xlsx)
I need to do this as over time the PM assigned to a project changes or projects are added or removed in the master list. As a result the timesheets need to vary over time.
Any help or direction to similar macros or code would be appreciated.
Thanks for your time.
Matt
