    Automatic Fill in problem

Everytime I begin to type the letter D into a cell it automaticall fills it in with some name. I can not even put initials in with out it putting in this specific name and when I try to change it it changes it right back. How do I make it stop doing this?

mcmahobt, it did not work. I typed in AL for alabama and it keeps changing it to Alisa. The weird thing is this...the name/word Alisa is not anywhere in this spread sheet.

    Re: Automatic Fill in problem

If you are running Excel 2013, try this:

    1. Click on the File tab of the ribbon to open the File menu

    2. Click on Options to bring up the Excel Options dialog box

    3. Click on the Advanced button in the left hand pane

    4. Under the Editing Options section

    5. Click on the Enable AutoComplete for cell values option box to remove the checkmark

    6. Click OK

    Did that work?

    Re: Automatic Fill in problem

no I have done this several times and regardless of what I do it still replaces it. It does it on ALL of my worksheets. not just in one specific one but everyone I work in. It is extremly frusterating.
