fill in the blank type of document

I want to make a spreadsheet calculator similar to a fill in the blanks worksheet with long text accompanied by a cell reference. for example -do these instructions =(c3) times, then do these instructions = (c5)times. how can this be done if merging the cell affects the adjacent cell reference?

If B2 was your blank to fill in... your code (where you want the results displayed) would look like this

Since this is multiplication all the way across, the order or pairing of different values is not necessary which sounds like it was a concern...

If you have a merged cell as your blank...lets say you merge B2 to C2 so when you click it while writing a formula it says =B2:C2, just remove the second half :C2 as B2 carries the value of that merged section

the text may also need to repeat based on the information input.i know how to use formulas for the data, i just dont know how to have a large amount of text in one cell.
