Double-Click to automatically set row height inop: Height compresses rather than opens

Is there a way to activate the Row Height double-click feature so that it 'works properly' rather than going to some pre-defined height? When I open new Excel documents then I can do this function. When I open a template that was started by someone else then I cannot use the double-click to auto-size the row height. I can drag the bottom of the row to where I want it but the double-click function only seems to send the row-height back to some predetermined setting.

The auto-size double-click works perfectly fine for column widths.

    Hi,

Is there perhaps a Sheet Before Double Click macro?

I must confess that I am not sure. The templates were made by the corporate office in Germany so it is quite possible. I will ask one of the template authors if he knows if the "Sheet Before Double Click" macro is part of the template creating procedure.
