I have a formula which is using the 1904 system to calculate HH:MM.
The result each time is a figure such as 1:00
When I multiply this by 6.50, the answer is 0.27, why is it not 6.50?

You have to first multiply by 24 to get a decimal value of an hour. Something like =A1*24*6.50
Hi,
1 Hour is 1/24 of a day, the unitary measure of time in excel.
If you modify your formula accordingly, you should get the correct result.
=1:00*24*6.5
Rule 1: Never merge cells
Rule 2: See rule 1
