absolute cell referrencing vs. hard data

    Hi,
I have been using a spreadsheet with absolute cell referencing. The way the sheet works is:
1.) Input account value in the first cell (A1)
2.) In the second cell (A2) enter a compounding formula. Then absolute reference the Rate and copy and past. This way I can show a table of how an account compounds. I attached a simple example.

What I want to do is to use an input form. That looks like this

    Account value
    Rate
    Year

I often have to change the rate or the number of years and I just want to be able to make the changes in one cell. Right now I have to make the change and then copy if down.

    Thanks,

Try the Future Value (FV) function. As an example, here's your example for a 10 year investment:

Note the initial value is entered as a negative amount.

    Cheers,

Here is a better example of what I want to do. So in this version, I used FV. But I want the Nper to grow by 1 each year. Is there away to do this?
I did figure out how to use the absolute cell referencing.

I want to show the assets growing. The table is to serve as a visual aid. To help students understand money. I would like each student
to be able to input different ages, account values, and contributions for different problems.

    Thanks,
