It sounds simple enough but I have a spreadsheet that has different data in the first column of every third row. IE row one has data, row 4 has data, row 7 has data on down for 3000 rows. Below each populated row, are 2 blank rows for columns 1,2 and 3. The 4th column is numbered 1,2,3, 1 being the existing data, 2 being the first blank row, 3 being the second blank row. I want to copy the data from the first row into the next two below it, but dont want the same data down the entire column. I tried sorting on the '1' in the 4th column, then copying the data from the first column, then resorting on the 2 and trying to paste it but it didnt paste correctly. Im told there is a function that will do what I need but I cant find it. (copy range maybe?). help will be appreciated.
