    Drop down list display instantly (no arrow click)?

    I would like a drop down list to display instantly when clicking a cell that allows me to choose from a drop down list.
    As of now, I first click the cell, then I click the arrow before I choose in my drop down list.

    I would like to skip the "click the arrow"-part.

    How do I achieve this?

    Re: Drop down list display instantly (no arrow click)?

    Hello jokris,

    Please beware of send keys, as it can sometimes be quite erratic. It may turn your num lock off and then you may have to add an API call to turn it back on again.

    I would like to skip the "click the arrow"-part.
    Instead of a Cell Validation with a Dropdown, I would suggest you use a Combo Box approach, as demonstrated in the attached sample Workbook.

    Regards.

    There's an add-in at https://app.box.com/shared/ono8ni9xvr that will do that, a ReadMe at https://app.box.com/shared/4qxybepxxr, and an example workbook at https://app.box.com/shared/e8dbbple34

    Re: Drop down list display instantly (no arrow click)?

    @shg,

    The OP states that;
    I would like to skip the "click the arrow"-part.
    I have tried all the links provided in your Post, none of which seems to fulfil the specified requirement.

    Am I missing something somewhere?

    Kind Regards.

    Did you install the add-in, then select a cell with list validation?
