Hello,
Im trying add a field that only counts the persons name if they have the word confirmed in another column.
So far im only able to figure out how to count their name if it appears in column B. But I only want to count how many times that person in column B has the word "confirmed" in column E.
See attached.
I don't think I worded this right, so please ask me questions if this doesn't make sense.

You need to use the COUNTIFS function, which allows you to set two criteria.

in I2 put
=countifs( B:B, H2, E:E, "confirmed")
and copy down

try the following formula in I2
=COUNTIFS($H2:$H400,$H2,$E2:$E400,$E$2)
in H you will enter the 1st criteria and in E you will have the confirmed

=COUNTIFS($H2:$H400,$H2,$E2:$E400,$E$2)
in column H you will enter the 1st criteria (Apolio) and in column E you will have the word "confirmed"
