SUMPRODUCT query

Hi

I had thought SUMPRODUCT simply executed a formula into one cell from across different ranges. In the following example I came across in some training it comes to 4.20 but I have no idea why? A pointer in the right direction would be very helpful?

Similar to:
=C3*C4+D3*D4+E3*E4+F3*F4

Hi Colgor,

Col C = 4 x 0 = 0
Col D = 200 x 0.02 = 4
Col E = 750 x 0 = 0
Col F = 6 x 0.02 = 0.12

Therefore I would have expected the result to be 4.12 (but you get the gist )

Seems pretty obvious now you say it. I had a mental block after going through too many exercises! I will certainly note your links in case we go down this path and I struggle further.
