    Calculating age using two dates (one yyyy, the other mm/dd/yyyy)

    Is there a function that would allow me to calculate a person's age if only the year was given for their date of birth? Obviously it would only come out (mm/dd/yyyy - birth year) or (mm/dd/yyyy - birth year)-1. I want the outcome to be in that range if possible, example (06/01/1990 - 1950) = Age 39-40.

    Thanks for your time.

    or, if you name the ranges A2 and B2 as date and birthyear respectively:

    will return: 39 to 40

    If you have the year of birth in A1 try this formula for age today

    =YEAR(TODAY())-A1
