    Double line with arrow

When I try to put a simple arrow on my project there is a second line below the one with the arrow. I can not delete or select it separately from the arrow line. There is very little separation between them, but I only want to see a single line with an arrow. Excel 2k Thanks for the help.

    I do not understand.

You have a whole collection of arrows in excel.

    Select the home tab

    Select Insert

Look for where it says pictures

Hover over the symbols and click on the one that says Shapes.

    Also

You can use the Arrows in character sets like Wing Dings.

    Select the home tab

Click on Symbol at the right of the Excel Menu, select the Font WingDings and scroll down to the arrows.

    Re: Double line with arrow

In excel 2000 I go to the "Draw" tool bar, select "arrow". With this I am able to draw a line with an arrow on one end. So far so good! I click on my point of origin, drag to my destination and release my drag. While dragging I see one line, when I release my drag a second line appears just below the line I drew with an arrow on one end. I tried to "select" the object and edit it, in edit there is only one line. I tried to "select" the second line and delete it. All that does is delete the line with the arrow. I think the problem is in my excel template that has all the basic information including that about how the tool bar items work. This is not a "template" that I made, it is just a simple spreadsheet.

I had a similiar issue. I found that somehow the property "shadow" was enabled in Format Shape --> Effects --> Shadow property.
Maybe you have the same issue.
