Hi Guys/Girls,
I am more of a mechanic than an IT guru. I am dealing with an aircraft that has EFIS (Electronic Flight Info' System) that records data in .ALD files. I download these files via a data stick in .ald format, then open them in M'soft notepad. This I then import into Excell, but it's a mess. Can anyone help please?
I am trying to get from this:
Text file.jpg
To this:
Exell 1.jpg
To this:
Excell.jpg

....ok, cracked it....I need to change the .ALD file extension to .txt, and work through that way.....sorry to have troubled you.

can you attach a sample of the file here ?
it looks like a CSV comma separated file
but how it will import depends on that format - I dont see a Date in the text shown
when you open in notepad
use save as
then change the file name from .TXT to .CSV
open in excel and it should import
OR you can do Text to Columns in excel and use delimited and ,
