Link Excel to mIRC program to auto paste data.

    Hello everyone!

I'm not really sure if this is even possible but i am attempting to have the excel application link to mIRC to auto paste the information contained within a cell into one of the channels. I would like the command button on a userform that I have created to post the data contained within a cell in the excel workbook into the chosen channel within the mIRC application. Right now I copy the cell value, click on the mIRC channel, then hit ctrl+v to paste the data. This becomes extremely difficult with the amount of data that has to be moved. I would greatly appreciate any help with this if its even possible for it to be done. Thank you!

I suppose it could be done with send keys, but the user would probably want to have mIRC so they could test it was grabbing the window correctly and pasting into the right places. (which I don't have)

you can use lines like the below as needed

It should also be possibly using 'mIRC scripting language' to pull the data from the excel or a file the excel creates - which could probably be more robust - although I'm a decade or two too rusty to tackle that.
If you want something done right... find a forum and ask an online expert.

I gave this a shot and it appear to be working about 85% of the time. The other 15% of the time I can see the mirc window take the focus but it does not past at all. Is there any kind of reason for this? Or is there another method to communicate from excel to mIRC with a more robust method?

    Without Mirc hard to say
    maybe use the

command to get the vba to wait for MIRC to catch up?

or maybe there is a key code you can send to MIRC that will make sure the right aspect of it is in focus - like if it has somehow ended up in the menu or the wrong window or something.
