Hi,
I have a grid of 100 cells(ten rows, ten cols)
and when I mouseover any cell ,let it display
the index number of that cell . /a number between 1 and 100.

The easiest way I can think of is to use the Cell Comment Feature, as demonstrated in the attached sample Workbook.
