Count down (not a timer)

I know this is easy but has me stumped. I know how to sequence cell 1234.....ect but for the life of me cannot figure how to do the opposite. 4321.....?
So I know low to high but how do I do high to low?

Its not clear what you are asking
if you want to sort existing data, select data and sort Z to A
if you want a list of descending numbers, type the largest, then the next largest in the cell below, select both cells and drag the black cross at the bottom righ of the cell down.

Or is it something else?

Ok, I want to start with the number 500 in A1 and have it countdown to 1 in A500...
