Saving an excel template, saves the template, instead of creating a new file.

Hi - I have a user using Excel 2016, and when she opens any template and does a Save, it saves the template, instead of create a new Excel file. Users using the same templates, do not this problem, but instead are prompted to save a new Excel file instead. I can't find any setting which causes this behavior to happen. Any recommendations? (p.s. this person has the same problem with older versions of Excel). Thanks. - Mark
